We finally made it for the 16 hours long flight. The flight was actually quite smooth except for times when we tried to put him in his car seat for take off and landing. Malcolm refused to sit in his car seat so other than taking off and landing, we asked the flight attendent to remove the seat so that he could have the full seat all by himself, more comfortable for all of us.
The flight was actually quite comfortable, snacks and meals were served once the flight had reached the required altitude….after meals, all the lights were switched off and it was like night time. The lights only came on about 3 hours before we reached LAX and it was time for another meal. So I would highly recommend afternoon direct flight from SIN to LAX.
Realised that maybe I had pampered Malcolm too much cos he only sleep when I put him to the breast. There was this little boy on board who slept almost throughout the flight in the bassinet. He was travelling with mum and his mum actually could have quite a bit of sleep throughout the flight too. Guess when I reach US, I will start training Malcolm to be more independent!
