This was outside Ballagio…can see that Mal was tired and rubbing his eyes after all the photo taking session
This big dog behind us welcome the Year of the Dog, it can bark!

Behind us was a Banyan tree…

Mal loves these small water fountain…these are some of the smaller fountain he could reach
Notice him balancing on the railings…his balancing skills Daddy taught him was put to good use here
Mal had climbed up the steps…across the railings….on his own! We just couldn’t stop him

Here are some photos on him making his way up the steps, across the railings and to his little fountains

Behind us was an artificial waterfall in front of one of the hotel
This is how the fountain outside our hotel looks in the daytime

Beginning of our walk

It was the 2nd day of our trip to Las Vegas. Today we intend to walk along the LV strip instead and visit some of the big hotels in LV. We woke up early hoping to bring Mal to have his MacDonald hotcake breakfast as Mummy remember seeing one big MAC sign board on the way to our hotel the night before. We were right, there was a MacDonald just about 50 m away across our hotel. However, by the time we reached there, there was no more breakfast menu! It was about 1030am. Mal was so disappointed and he kept saying hotcake but we were quick to stuff his mouth with fries instead. Wasn’t healthy at all…but we consoled ourselves saying we were there for holiday :)

After breakfast, we began our long walk along the strip. When Daddy told Mummy that it was going to be a long walk..probably more than a day…Mummy was quite skeptical. The first hotel we stop by was Ballagio. It was one of the more expensive hotel and was much busier than the hotel we were staying. The attraction there was the very elaborate decoration the hotel had put up for Chinese New Year. Mummy was very happy to see that as so far this was the 1st time the Chinese New Year mood was felt. It reminded so much of Chinese New Year back home esp in chinatown. We spent a long time there…taking pictures. They put up a lot of little fountains which were Mal’s favourite. They had very bright and vibrant fresh flowers…those that you would find during Chinese New Year. Some of the decorations were even more elaborate than what we could find back home. It was sure worth the visit!
