I don’t think I will do that. I called back home in desperation the other day hoping that ?? will have some idea on how the itch came about since we used to have quite problematic skin when we were young too. This gave ?? the chance to come up with all kinds of secret and traditional rememdies which normally will fall upon deaf ears on my side. I know she meant well but a lot of times you don’t see me follow what she recommends and sometimes I would even retort her with a sneer which instantly kills her enthursiasiam to continue her old mother’s tales explanation. Her explanation may sound absurd to me but I knew she believes in them herself and she really thinks that it works. I certainly don’t blame her as I know she is just trying to help in her own ways.
I has been a week since Mal started to get the itch and rash and it seems to get worse in the night when he was sleeping. I had went on the internet to do a search on the common itch and rash for children and I think in Mal’s case, it is probably some allergic reaction to some plants which he got while doing gardening the other day with Daddy. Here is the list of itching symptons and I think Mal’s symptoms resemble the one under Poison Ivy, Oak and Sumac. I have been applying calamine lotion especially in the middle of the night when he wakes up scratching. This helps to soothe the itch a bit and allows him to fall back to sleep. Will continue to monitor the itch and if it gets worse, will probably bring him to a doctor. But if it is really due to some allergic reaction to some plants or insect bites, the doctor probably can’t do much also. Meanwhile, I will put the bathing in Stout idea on hold first. Maybe will do so if I get desperate enough and will see how Daddy laughs his head off !

YeeYee don’t think is the plant. Symptoms also not the same???? No blisters right???? Really no harm trying out the old remedies…….Anyway Mal go to bath! Up to mummy la, maybe Mal you got to tahan a little longer till the poison goes away………
he has lines and streaks of the rash, also bumps as well. Initially I thought no blister but these few days, there were dried bumps on his back probably from the dried blisters. I am pretty sure is from plants, maybe not poison ivy. Initially I thought was Hives from insect bites but after I saw the bumps…I think his symptoms are closer to the poison ivy ones
Can try bathing him in warm water soak with chinese tea leaves. It helps to ease the itch..
remedy given by my mum…
Friend .. just got to a doc!!!I tolerated for weeks and after months of diagnosis, the doc discovered i had mild slip disc which i have to live with it for the rest of my life; on another ocassion, i coughed for months without gettin proper treatments and guess what, conclusion is i contracted (NOt AiDs) but acute bronchitis which will never go off though might disappear in btw.
thanks for all the recommendations…probably will bring him to the doc if the rashes did not go away after 14 days.
