The Tree is Up

It seem to take forever for the tree to be up this year

I thought of getting the fresh fir tree from Ikea
at SGD 69 I thought it was a good deal
save the hassle of storing the tree
and we LOVE the smell of fresh pine

Then we passed by Carrefour
they were having clearance
The deal seem too good to be missed
and we bought the tree at 1/2 price
some ornaments at 80% discount

I have this grand plan of making our own ornaments
and I totally miss the fact that with a 6 weeks old baby
doing craft with my 5 year old will be a totally new challenge

Here’s how the baby looks while we were busy

and we finally completed our ONLY piece of art for the tree

    hihi rachel,

guess whom i caught sight of just now (sat night) outside millenia walk? the men in your household are too good-looking to miss *wink* but i was too shy to go up and introduce myself.

anyway hope everything is well with the baby! 🙂 merry xmas!

Rachel : hey yi huey, such coincidence! I think u must have heard the baby bawling then! I was at suntec doing some quick shopping. I left while the baby was sleeping but less than 10 min later he woke up and was crying for like more than 1/2 hour before my son told his dad that they need to call mummy! 🙂

  2. blessed mum says:

hi..hope everything is well with you and baby 🙂

I’m such a lazy mom..never even thought of using home-make ornaments..always getting off the rack stuff…like the star! why didn’t i thought of that! Its such simple artwork! Thanks for the idea 🙂

  3. Yi Huey says:

hey we were at suntec too! but we usually park at millenia walk cos we have season parking there. now that u mentioned, i just remembered there was a pram and your hubby was on the phone, likely talking to u. but no, thankfully i didn’t hear the baby crying. they were walking to candy empire then 🙂

  4. Leonny says:

Hi Rachel! … hope all’s well there and hope Mal is also adjusting well with the idea of having another little person sharing mommy and daddy’s attention and time

(When Vai was born, it was tough for me in the first 2-3 weeks as Anya was 2.5yo and chose to do things that she knew she’s not supposed to do to get my attention)

Anyway…great to see you and Mal managed to make something for the tree! 😀

    Merry Christmas!

  5. Ann says:

the pic of the baby was funny! 🙂

Love that you are still trying to find time to do crafts with Malcolm. I may steal your idea and make the star tonight!
