At 6 month and 2 weeks old
Baby Marcus has 4 teeth
He started getting his left lower central incisor about a month ago
then his right lower central incisor a week later
then his right upper central incisor
Now he is growing his left upper central incisor at about the same time as his elder brother is getting his permanent one
Such coincidence
Isn’t that a lot of teeth for a 6 month old baby ?!
I don’t remember Malcolm getting this many teeth this young
and I would rather the baby gets his teeth a little later
as I don’t see much use of them now
His diet is still mainly breastmilk
even now that we are starting him on solid food
they are usually mush of some sort
As he is at the stage of exploring with his mouth
Everything that is within his reach goes straight into his mouth
And with his early teeth
you can imagine the destruction that he is causing
especially when he has yet grasp the concept of NO
and will flash you the cheekiest smile instead

Actually my main complaint here is
Breastfeeding time for me now has turned into
Feeding time with a Barracuda
OUCH !

Yes! Never seen baby with 4 teeth at this young age! My girl is 6 mth old now and can’t see any teeth growing! Amazing, marcus!
Wow, that’s really many teeth for a 6-month-old! He is maturing fast!
hehe jason has this wierd theory that maybe the body is having so much solids now that it is telling the body, oh you are ready for more teeth and to move forward for more complicated food! we were also pondering about the teeth growth the last time caleb’s teeth all came out so fast too…
this reminds me of this time when I was having lunch with some colleagues and one of them was sharing about breastfeeding a toddler, she made this statement “he comes onto me like an animal” and everybody just paused for that moment not knowing how to respond.
Oh yeh, ouch! Mine is 11 months with 7 teeth….sometimes when she bites, I just cringe!
Ouch! I totally know what you mean…
Oooh that is quite a lot of teeth but still not unusual – but ouch… i remember those days… just take him off & tell him no biting & try again – he’ll get the message soon…
