Jogging Revisited

There are days when my husband works for insanely long hours
and when I am left to handle the kids from dawn till dusk

There are days when the baby is cranky and the kid is difficult
and when chores are piling and more tasks wait to be done

There are days when I am drained and battered
and when I felt like I am falling into a deep dark abyss

Days when I dread another day and I dread repeating the cycle again

I dragged myself and hit the track

and found myself jogging at unearthly hours

It was quiet, serene and peaceful

I was energized, recharged and lifted

And I felt like I could take on the world again

How could I have forgotten the miraculous power of jogging (A Battle Fought – Jogging and I)
