A Happy Day

Life has been a little crazy for the past weeks when my dad was hospitalized

I would  bring the boys along with me to the hospital everyday, sometime twice a day

Then both my boys got sick and I realized it wasn’t such a good idea to be exposing them to all the germs and bacteria in the ward

I worked out a schedule

I cooked dinner while my younger boy took his afternoon nap, packed the food in thermal pots

In the evening I picked up my elder boy from school, drove them to the hospital and had dinner with their grandparents

My mum is fussy with her food and anything home cooked is better than anything else outside

My dad, he needed the fresh air

Simple task like sitting up was good exercise for him

For more than a week the kids ate their dinner from disposable plates and cultery within the hospital compound

Finally, late last week the doctor gave the green light for us to bring my dad home

It was a happy day

The kids and I celebrated with home made pizza

Life’s good to be rolling pizza dough with the kids and loading it up with our favorite toppings

It’s a bliss to see them gobble everything up within minutes

And I know they meant it when they said they miss Mummy’s pizza
