My 31 month old toddler is a speed demon, an adrenaline junkie
We came home with his first bike when he was 22 month old
His legs were too short and he couldn’t ride
He fumbled with it for many weeks
4 months later, he was ready to take it along with him wherever he goes
He scurried around, sweeping the ground as fast as his legs could carry
Very often making heads turn
Some stopped and took pictures
Others oooh-ed and awwww-ed
Perhaps they were fascinated by a pedaless bike
or maybe a toddler on bike is a rare sight
For a while, I contemplated on starting him on a basking career
Then lately he had a taste of speed and balance of another sort
he got hooked on his brother’s 2 wheelers scooter bike
To spare me from seeing them fight
We got him his very own scooter bike
Nope he wants no kiddish 3 wheelers scooter bike
A flamboyant fierce looking 2 wheelers Hot Wheels is what he likes
He was thrilled and couldn’t wait to ride
So we let him amidst malls and crowd
After a few falls and a few scrapes on his knees
We had problem keeping him in sight
But malls and crowd ain’t the best place to ride
So we brought him to the park where he could zip around with all his might
